Hi guys, I finally decided to renew my journal with a new entry to inform all my foreign friends that I've been invited to join the European Contest: Cosplay World Master; it's a restrict competition for top Cosplayers, with the objective to elect the best and most complete Cosplayer in the World. It'll take pleace in Portugal on March! The finale will be held in the second semester of 2012 in Brazil. On this first semester of 2012, Europe and South America will have elimination rounds that will dictate who will participate in the Great Cosplay World Master.

Portugal welcomed the challenge to organize Cosplay World Master with open arms.
The competition took place in the third Edition of Iberanime LX, a biannual event dedicated to anime, manga, videogames, workshops and concerts that place Japanese pop culture in the mainstream.

In this competition, the Cosplayers are allowed to have technical and audiovisual support in terms of sound equipment, lighting and image projection in order to best enhance the quality of their performances. The excellent technical conditions made it possible for the participants to enrich their performances on stage with sounds, images and special effects worthy of a large world production. The evaluation is based on the making of the outfit, the performance and the public's reaction. Three Cosplayers (1st, 2nd and 3rd places) are chosen and awarded every year.

Fortunately I won't travel alone, because my gorgeous friend Setsuna will come with me! ^_^ And I can't wait to see Cleonchan too! :3 I hope to meet new friends also, so... if you're planning to visit Iberanime on March, please write me down here!!!

Time is always less for me: I've got a lot of commissions (webdesign) for those months! Despite this, I choose a very nice cosplay (for me, obviously! ). A costume I always wanted do realize... it is not so difficult, but I'm going to make it perfect!!!

A Cosplayer always need support! Fabrics and stuff are very expensive. If you love what I do and if you think I do it well... that's because I always look for the best material to realize it! Leggendo le ultime news dal sito di Selaine (una cosplayer che stimo moltissimo nonché la mia preferita in italia), mi sono detta… perché non rendere pubblico il costume "tabù" (che poi molti già sanno) per la selezione del WCS di domenica 3 Ottobre al Romics? Infondo sono sempre stata del parere che mettere le cose in chiaro sin da subito eviti spiacevoli sorprese (non che a 20 giorni da Romics le cose possano chissà in che modo cambiare…!)

Vi presento quindi la nostra coppia! Sembra assurdo che sia già passato un anno dalla nostra ultima odissea...

Dalla divina mano del maestro Masakazu Katsura (celebre autore del fumetto/romanzo che ha segnato la storia con il nome di Video Girl Ai), nasce Shadow Lady, ladra dalle mille forme e… trasformazioni!

Dopo l'uscita del fumetto originale Katsura pubblica una serie di artbook con storie brevi dove Shadow Lady veste nuovi panni, dal gatto a… l'uccello.

"Una ragazza che ama i boschi, la sua voglia appassionata di salvarli la trasforma.
Aimi, a casa di suo nonno nel bosco, trova un portacipria con cui può trasformarsi in Shadow Lady. Trasfornatasi ruba numerose opere d'arte e le cambia con dei soldi con cui cerca di salvare il bosco. Lain, che vuole distruggere il bosco per costruirci sopra, si trasforma in Technoman e cerca di realizzare il suo scopo con la forza. Ma Shadow Lady protegge il suo bosco con tutta la sua passione."

Aimi (Shadow Lady) E' una ragazza solitaria e silenziosa. Truccata col magic Shadow (ombretto) può trasformarsi in vari tipi di Shadow Lady. Ladra per hobby (ma non per professione) Shadow Lady ruba per il puro gusto di superare nuove sfide. Sbarazzina e ammaliante, cerca di fregare Technoman (riuscendoci egregiamente), con le sue mille trasformazioni.

Sam Lain (Technoman E' un giovane imprenditore, presidente della ditta Lain. Ama Aimi e si trasforma in Technoman per ostacolare Shadow Lady nel rubare le opere d'arte. Cerca da anni di catturare la ladra per assicurarla alla giustizia ma si lascia sempre fregare dai suoi mille trabocchetti.

Per questi personaggi è stato amore a prima vista, qualche anno fa avevo portato a Cartoomics la versione nera di Shadow Lady (trasformazione base) e vestirne dinuovo i panni mi fa sentire parecchio a mio agio. L'unica difficoltà che io e Alessio abbiamo riscontrato (ci è successo anche durante la realizzazione di Hikaru Shido e Rayearth delle CLAMP) è stato reinterpretare i costumi visti i colori che cambiano totalmente da una versione all'altra… variando addirittura dal grigio/nero al bianco.

Come ogni fiera che si rispetti ci aspettiamo di essere scambiati per dragqueen, trans brasiliane e, ovviamente…. per Batman! Per evitare quest'ultimo spiacevole appellativo, Alessio ha deciso di rifarsi alla versione bianca della trasformazione che potete vedere in alcune delle tavole sotto.

E ora si torna a lavoro.. Romics ci attende
Prima di fuggire vi lascio con una piccola preview del cosplay (non credo che posterò altri work in progress fino a Romics, ma non si può mai sapere…).

Ho deciso di realizzare la testa in modo un pò particolare.. piuttosto che comprare e acconciare una semplice parrucca ho realizzato un casco di piume.. il risultato mi piace molto ma mi rimetto ai vostri pareri… il trucco è un pò abbozzato. Ah.. dimenticavo; ovviamente Demo (il compagno di avventura di SL) non mancherà!!

This is 6 min highlight of World Cosplay Summit 2010. World Cosplay Summit begun in 2003 among 3 countries to exchange and communicate their cosplay cultures. In 2005, they added Championship to compete and showcase who're the world best cosplayers. This year, 30 cosplayers from 15 countries came together in Nagoya, Japan last weekend.

Non pensavo che mi sarei mai decisa, questo sito è un pezzettino di cuore per me… in effetti però, piuttosto che tenerlo lì inutilizzato, sarebbe bello vederlo nuovamente prendere vita.

I’m a just a girl like every other girl in the world…but I have a great passion: Cosplaying!

My passion started in the early 2003 when I went to Lucca Comics & Games and I saw some people dressed as videogames characters. In 2004 I decided to go back to Lucca with the Cosplay of Rinoa Heartilly from Final Fantasy VIII : I realized a dream! From that day I discovered a new world full of friends and fun. Today I have more than 21 costumes, all made by me (I’m good at crafting objects rather than tailoring, so I often ask for my mother’s help).. and my passion grows day after day.

In 2008 I won the first award as Cosplay Queen during Cartoomics  together with my bestfriend: Alessio. During the same year, with my group of Reyarth, I won the Magic KnightS Award!

Dion Rinoa - Dion RogersAnd, during Lucca Comics 2008, I won an award as "Best Fantasy Costume" with my Paladin Bloodelf Cosplay (Tier 2) set improved For Lucca Comics, we've been hired by Upper Deck Italy: a famous society which produces Yu-Gi-Oh and World of Warcraft cards, in order to become their "images" by standing inside the games area of the convention.

Apart from Cosplaying, I love drawing, paiting and travelling. I think that one of the best thing we can do in our life is to travel around the world and make new experiences. I actually work as  webdesigner for an agency here in Palermo, but I work as freelance too. Lately I listen to every kind of music. I loke Rock, such as Paparoach, Nickelback and so on.. My favourite color is pink, but I love also purple and black. I think it's enough. Benvenuti in un sogno!
Quando ho iniziato a pensare in che modo salutare gli intervenuti alla mostra-mercato Cospladya Comics & Games 2010, questa è stata la prima parola a prendere forma nella mia mente: sogno.

Il Cospladya è nato come il sogno di quattro giovani ragazzi, me inclusa, che dopo aver visitato fiere sui cartoni animati e sul fumetto in giro per tutta Italia, hanno immaginato che fosse possibile realizzare qualcosa di simile nella nostra bella città. Poche certezze, tante idee e sicuramente grande mancanza d’esperienza, ma soprattutto un’immensa voglia di fare.

Quel giorno di due anni fa, oggi sembra ormai lontanissimo. Riuscire a contattare gli editori, scrivere i regolamenti per i contest, adeguarsi a spazi non fieristici, andare incontro alle esigenze dei commercianti locali… organizzare un evento di tali dimensioni porta spesso a discostarsi dal sogno a favore di una maggiore concretezza. Eppure noi abbiamo continuato a sognare, senza voler perdere la spontaneità tipica della nostra età. Abbiamo però compensato il nostro essere visionari avvalendoci del supporto di chi questo mestiere lo fa per professione e senza vergogna abbiamo chiesto consigli a chi dimostrava d’avere un’idea in più per avvicinarci al nostro sogno.

Oggi il sogno si è realizzato: arrivati alla seconda edizione del Cospladya Comics & Games possiamo finalmente affermare che questa manifestazione è una realtà, viva e pulsante.
Il sogno però non finisce qui… Forse un giorno potremo vantare i numeri delle altre fiere sparse sul territorio nazionale; forse il prossimo anno riusciremo a portare a Palermo alcune delle tante tematiche ancora assenti dalla nostra fiera; forse in futuro riusciremo a coinvolgere con maggiore trasporto non soltanto la nostra provincia ma anche le altre città del territorio siciliano… A noi piace sognare.

Hi watchers and friends! ^__^ We're close to the end of this month.. it passed so quickly! I can't believe I've to travel to Milan in 2 days! I'm so happy... the coolest thing is that I'll spend a beautiful day with Lilletta, Saky, Kanon and Gareth I can't wait!!!

This weekend I finished my bloodelf costume (yeah, it was almost finished but some details were missed!).
I hope you like it, I'm so happy to see the result... proud of myself!

Unfortunately, I've not finished making the staff.. that's a pity I'll make it later.
On the contrary, my bestfriend DDark is working hard with the cosplay for the contest! He's going crazy to finish it intime!

I've a veeeery important thing to tell you... I'm finally a Mac user!!!!! Yeeeeh!!

Oh.. I forgot to tell you that I cut my hairs planning to make Asuka Watarai costume, from Under the Innocent Sky! Do you like it? ^^'

Salve a tutti! ^_^ E' incredibile pensare che siamo già arrivati alla fine di Marzo; questo mese è volato.
Tra due giorni si parte alla volta di Cartoomics ma la cosa più bella è che passerò un Giovedì di relax insieme a Lilletta, Saky, Kanon e Gareth in giro per Milano non vedo l’ora!

Tra sabato e domenica sono riuscita a finire i ricami sulla gonna della bloodelf, tagliare e rifare l’orlo sugli stivali, e decorare il top e i guanti con i glitter. Sono molto contenta del risultato!

Purtroppo non sono riuscita ad ultimare la staffa… pazienza Tanto non sapevo come trasportarla perché viaggio in aereo.
Alessio invece è ancora alle prese con il suo costume nuovo… praticamente passa nottate e weekend interi a casa a lavorare In tutto questo sicuramente gli altri impegni non mancano… specie le distrazioni.. E io di distrazioni ne so qualcosa! hihi!

Well, errr.... in this period I started playing Final Fantasy XIII I played it for about 2 hours and it is annoying me I hope I'm wrong. What do you think about the latest chapter of the saga? I think nothing could be compared to FFVII' story!!

Hi there, I'm finally back... I've so much things to do in this period, such as the second edition of our sicilian convention dedicated to cosplay and games: Cospladya ( www.cospladya.it ). We're close to chose the location, finally, but dates are still a mistery Anyway... I passed a very strange period of my life, but I found my happiness and a sort of "equilibrium" again

Anyway.. I've to thank a person who bought me another 3 months subscription here on dA.. Thank you so much... even if.. you know what I think about itttt!!! So please don't!!! ahahaha *love*

In this period I've been very lazy, I've to finish my bloodelf costume before the 20 of this month, Cartoomics 2010 is coming! Anyway, lots of people told me that I looks like Vanille from FFXIII ( [link] )... ehehe I can tell everybody that I've already bought some fabrics in order to make this costume! I think it'll be ready on June for Cospladya 2010! So please, be patient PS: I'm still looking for the wig, any adive? I like this one so much but she didn't tell me where she bought it

In this period I started coding a new layout for my website, I'm sure you'd love it! I dunno when I'll finish it.. the hardest part is still coding the weblog. So... keep watching me to stay updated!
